Jonny Stallings Cárdenas works in a diverse array of musical settings including his composition work with new music ensembles wasteLAnd, Mivos Quartet, and Palimpsest, performances with improvisers Mark Dresser, King Britt, and Steph Richards, and concerts and recordings with experimental pop, cumbia, salsa, and jazz acts like Pigimichi, Logan Hone, and Los Chunches. Pigimichi’s latest release, “Empty House (EP),” foregrounds Jonny’s experiments with sound as a producer, keyboardist, and arranger.
